Renowned and controversial American artist Paul McCarthy and “the most exciting actress in the German-speaking world", Lilith Stangenberg are taking over Volkstheater Vienna over four days. They present the largely improvised work *NV / Night Vater / Vienna*, based on Liliana Cavani's 1970s film “The Night Porter”. The story centers on a former concentration camp prisoner, Lucia, and her sadomasochistic relationship with Max, a former SS officer now working as a night porter in a Vienna hotel, which spirals into delirium and isolation.
