“Apple Eater, Good Kisser?” is an ongoing intimate and poetic film project that explores an Austrian childhood myth: Can the way someone eats an apple reveal whether they are a good kisser? The film delves into this saga in several acts, staged for the camera in a contemplative sequence. The use of 16mm film and the ritualized act of eating an apple intensifies the theme of transience, as the apparent stillness of the moment is contrasted by the flickering pulse of the 16mm film.
